In this respect, franchising is particularly popular with people looking for a career change, for whom it appears to be a springboard towards a new life: one in two franchisees change sector compared with their former job, while 76% of franchisees were employees previously.

This is one of the major assets of franchising. The franchisor transmits their know-how to the franchisee to ensure they can properly get to grips with the brand. With initial and continuous training programmes, the franchisee thus benefits from support throughout their journey and their career project. 53% of franchisees indeed choose franchising due to the support that it offers.
5. Franchising promotes professional mobility and enables people to do business everywhere in France and worldwide
With 37% of franchised points of sale located in towns of under 20,000 inhabitants, 30% in towns with between 20,000 and 100,000 inhabitants, and 33% in cities with more than 100,000 inhabitants, franchising offers significant geographical liberty. Thanks to franchising, three out of four franchisees can launch in their home region, or in one they are particularly fond of. Beyond French borders, franchising also offers multiple opportunities: 35% of French franchise networks are also established abroad.
6. Franchising offers a balance between support and independence in doing business
Founded on the association of two independent business owners who have mutually agreed to a set of reciprocal rights and duties, franchising guarantees the independence and freedom of the franchisee with regard to the franchisor. While the franchisee must follow the concept that the brand has made available to them, they nonetheless remain the sole decision-maker with regard to the location of their business and how they run it.

Considered to be a reliable model that produces results quickly, franchising reassures banking institutions when it comes to offering financing solutions. 66% of franchisees say that doing business as a franchise helped them obtain their loan from the bank.

8. Franchising fosters and accelerates successful entrepreneurship
Volume strategy, operational standardisation and regular innovation are all assets that work in favour of the profitability and success of franchised points of sale compared with stand-alone traders. In this respect, franchising is a fantastic way of getting results quickly. To prove it, six out of ten franchisees recorded an increase in their annual sales last year.
